School Holiday Recovery: The 10-Minute Reset for Busy Parents
School holidays are not a break for everyone. Sometimes they’re more driving, more snacks, more mess, more carrying, less routine, and somehow less time.
If your body feels stiff and your brain feels fried, you don’t need a perfect wellness routine. You need ten minutes that actually fits.

During school holidays, recovery has to be smaller and easier. Move briefly, reset the areas that are carrying the load, and create one night cue once the house is finally quiet.
The 10-minute parent reset
Minute 0–2: unload your system
- walk around the house
- long exhale breathing
- drop your shoulders
Minute 2–6: move what gets stiff
- upper back rotations
- hip flexor rock-backs
- calf raises or ankle circles
Minute 6–10: choose one cue
- Relief Roller for calves/feet/traps
- Muscle Balm post-shower for upper back/hips
When the house finally goes quiet
- warm shower

Parent version of “good enough”
